How to Pass the PMP Exam? A Practical Q&A Guide
Who is the PMP certification for?
The PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is for professionals who don’t just work on projects – they run them. If you’re juggling teams, timelines, clients, and risks (sometimes all at once), you’re in the right place.
PMP is the global gold standard that confirms your competence in managing projects – regardless of industry, methodology, or geography. It’s recognized across corporations, consulting firms, and the public sector. Bonus? PMP-certified professionals earn, on average, 16% more than their uncertified peers (source: PMI).
What are the eligibility requirements?
To be eligible for the PMP exam, you must meet one of the following:
- High school diploma + 60 months of project management experience + 35 hours of formal training,
- Bachelor’s degree + 36 months of experience + 35 hours of training,
- Master’s degree from a GAC-accredited program + 24 months of experience + 35 hours of training.
You can complete your training at AgilePMO – we are an Authorized Training Partner (ATP) of PMI, and our course is designed to fully prepare you for the exam.
What does the application process look like?
- Create an account on PMI.org.
- Fill in your application – include detailed project experience, roles, durations, and context.
- Upload your training certificates.
- After approval (and sometimes a random audit), pay for the exam and schedule your preferred date.
This is your first test of discipline and time management – treat it like a mini project!
Where can you take the PMP exam?
You have two options:
- Online – from home, via the OnVUE system (requires a quiet space, good internet, and a webcam).
- In-person – at a Pearson VUE test center.
Examples of test centers in Poland:
- Warsaw (e.g., ul. Ostrobramska),
- Krakow,
- Wroclaw,
- Poznan,
- Gdansk.
Real-life feedback:
“I chose the 12:00 exam slot at Ostrobramska – perfect time, no stress about internet issues, neighbors, or the doorbell. I had peace and focus. Highly recommend!”
Is the exam available in Polish?
Yes! As of 2024, the PMP exam is fully available in Polish. During your application, select “Polish” as your exam language. All questions and answers will be displayed in Polish, with the option to view the original English version at any time.
This is perfect if you prefer thinking in Polish but want to double-check the English phrasing when needed.
What does the exam look like?
- 180 questions
- 230 minutes
- Two 10-minute breaks
Question types:
- Single-choice
